Microsoft is reportedly working on another Surface tablet. According to WinBeta, the firm is making a successor to the Surface 2 that would be cheaper than the Surface Pro 3, which is already available. However, like the Pro 3, it will run full Windows, rather than the stripped-back Windows RT we saw on the Surface 2. Windows RT hampered the experience somewhat, meaning the device had far fewer third-party apps than rival tablets. The Surface 3 – as the device will most likely be named – will launch next month at Microsoft's Build conference. If it does run Windows 8.1, as the report claims, it would be the first non Surface Pro model to do so. It would also likely to be upgradeable to Windows 10 when that launches in the summer.
