Google introduces YouTube Kids app with colourful design, family-friendly content

Google today announced a new YouTube app that specifically caters to children. Aptly named, YouTube Kids, the app is focused to bring children friendly content to the fore without having the user to search for it. Right from Pocoyo to Sesame Street’s latest episode will be available on the YouTube Kids app. Since the primary audience is kids, Google has made the app a bit colourful, larger icons, voice search and loads of parental controls, including timer that limits kids’ screen time; sound settings that allows to mute the video; restrict search and more.
The app is currently available only in the US on the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store.
